France’s selected its entry for the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is held ‘on their own turf’ this year. It’s Zoé Clauzure who’ll perform “Cœur” (Heart).
Procedure
The French JESC 2023 representative was chosen internally by France Télévisions. This year’s French entry was created by Noée Francheteau, Julien Comblat and Jérémy Chapron. It talks about bullying, which seems to be an important issue not only in young people’s lives. The track is a pop song, full of pep, which displays the full range of Zoé’s vocals. “Cœur” is: “a positive track, full of hope and light. Music is a way of expressing myself outside language, and I’m quite talkative, but that’s not enough for me,’ stated Zoé (junioreurovision.tv).
What do we know about Zoé?
Zoé was a semi-finalist of The Voice Kids in 2020. She’s already performed with Amir and Yseult. Zoé is also a pianist and a fan of Zaho de Sagazan, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish. This year’s French JESC representative records her covers played on the piano and posts them on social networking sites, but its’ being on stage that is her real passion.
What do you think of the French choice?
