Ireland’s selected its entry for the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place in Nice, France this year. It’s Jessica McKean, who’ll perform her song “Aisling” (A Dream).

Procedure

Jessica was chosen to represent Ireland at the JESC 2023 by the audience of the TG4’s Junior Eurovision Éire.

The song was created by Niall Mooney, Ken McHugh, Will Weeks, Niamh Mooney and Sophie Lennon, who represented Ireland in the JESC 2022 co-wrote the lyrics of this year’s Irish entry.

What do we know about Jessica?

Jessica McKean’s ten years old and is the youngest Irish representative of all time. Jessica won her first Feis (traditional Irish dancing competition) at the age of three. Her favourite artists are Adele, Nathan Carter and Whitney Houston.
