Switzerland’s chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden. It’s Nemo, who’ll represent their country, which is taking part in the ESC for the 64th time.
The composition
The title of the song’s “The Code” and it was created by Benjamin Alasu, Lasse Midtsian Nymann, Linda Dale and Nemo Mettler themselves. It’s sung in English.

The procedure
This Swiss entry was chosen by the public, international audience and the international panel of experts. Then five finalists were invited to Zurich, where their live performances were rehearsed.
What do we know about Nemo?
Nemo, whose full name’s Nemo Mettler, was born in 1999. Nemo’s a rapper, singer and musician who plays the drums, piano and violin. This artist’s music is defined as hip hop and pop. In their music, Nemo discusses such topics as gender identity, mental health and finding one’s place in the world, and describes themselves as non-binary.
Eurovision Song Contest 2024
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday, 7th May (the First Semi-final), Thursday, 9th May (the Second Semi-final) and Saturday, 11th May (the Grand Final) 2024.
