Greece’s chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden. It’s Marina Satti, who’ll represent her country on the 50th anniversary of Greek first participation in the ESC.
The composition
The song hasn’t been chosen yet. Composers can submit songs from 25th October to 1st December (sent on-line at eurovision2024@ert.gr).
What do we know about Marina?
The Greek representative was born in 1986 in Crete. Her mother is Greek and her father is Sudanese. Hence, both local and Arab folk elements appear in her work. Marina’s career began on a larger scale in 2016, and a year later the entire Balkan region danced to her hit “Mantissa”.
In 2023 she produced “Tucutum”, a song-commentary on Balkan trap, which became viral in the summer. Marina’s got professional musical education and she’s also an actress.
Eurovision Song Contest 2024
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday, 7th May (the First Semi-final), Thursday, 9th May (the Second Semi-final) and Saturday, 11th May (the Grand Final) 2024.
