What do we know about 5miinust & Puuluup?

5miinust is one of the most popular Estonian music bands of the last ten years. The band was formed in 2015 and since then, they have dominated streaming platforms and radio charts. The rappers have released one album and three EPs. They regularly win awards from the Estonian music industry.

Puuluup is a folk duo consisting of Ramo Teder and Marko Veisson. They mix surrealism, the sounds of the talharpa (a typical instrument from Northern Europe) and the looper. Inspirations often come from Vormsi performance, Finnish jouhikko repertoire, Sahel blues and other elements of musical traditions from around the world. Additionally, all kinds of random sources of inspiration are important – unexpected fragments of Polish TV series or old Estonian punk.
