Silvester Belt – the Twenty-Fifth Participant for Eurovision 2024

Lithuania’s chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden. It’s Silvester Belt, who’ll represent his country, which is taking part in the ESC for the 24th time.

The composition

The title of the song’s “Luktelk” (Hang On) and it was created by Džesika Šyvokaitė, Elena Jurgaitytė and Silvestras Beltė himself. It’s sung in Lithuanian.

The procedure

The ESC representative was chosen by the jury and the public in the first stage of the final and then only by the audience in the final stage.

What do we know about Silvester Belt?

Silvestras Beltė, born in 1997, is professionally known as Silvester Belt. He’s a Lithuanian singer and songwriter. Silvester’s music is described as pop, electronic and rave. As for his personal life, Silvester’s openly bisexual. He took part in the National Selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 (finishing 8th). Silvester also took part in a talent show Aš – superhitas (I Am a Superhit), which he won and also participated in X Faktorius, the Lithuanian version of The X Factor, in which he was eliminated in the fourth week.

Eurovision Song Contest 2024

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday, 7th May (the First Semi-final), Thursday, 9th May (the Second Semi-final) and Saturday, 11th May (the Grand Final) 2024.
