Germany’s chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden. It’s Isaak, who’ll represent his country, which is taking part in the ESC for the 67th time.
The composition
The title of the song’s “Always on the Run” and it was created by Greg Taro, Kevin Lehr, Leo Salminen and Isaak Guderian himself. It’s sung in English.

The procedure
The ESC representative was chosen by the international jury (Austria, Croatia, Iceland, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom) and the public. Isaak won both the jury and public voting becoming the 67th German representative at the Eurovision Song Contest.
What do we know about Isaak?
Isaak, whose full name’s Isaak Guderian was born in 1995 to an Icelandic mother and German father. He began his musical career as a street musician. In 2011, he took part in the TV talent show The X Factor, and in 2021 he won the digital talent show Show Your Talent. His repertoire ranges from melancholic ballads to powerful arrangements.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday, 7th May (the First Semi-final), Thursday, 9th May (the Second Semi-final) and Saturday, 11th May (the Grand Final) 2024.
