TOP OF THE TOP Sopot Festival 2023 with Eurovision Participants

The 56th edition of the TOP OF THE TOP Sopot Festival took place from 21st August to 24th, 2023 in Sopot, Poland. The festival, which is organized by Festival Group, Bałtycka Agencja Artystyczna BART, Miasto Sopot, and TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, is one of the major events in the Polish music scene and attracts some of the biggest names in the country.

Who appeared?

This year’s festival was no exception, with a star-studded lineup that included several artists who have competed in the Eurovision Song Contest. First, Michał Szpak, who represented Poland in 2016, performed his hit song “Color of Your Life”. Second, Margaret, who took part in the National Selection Poland in 2016, performed three songs showing her different faces.

Next, Natalia Szroeder, who also participated in the National Selection Poland 2016, sang “Powinnam”. Furthermore, Ochman, who represented Poland in 2022, performed one of the worldwide musical hits. Moreover, Sara James, Poland’s representative in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, performed “Tylko mnie poproś do tańca” (Anna Jantar’s song) with Igor Herbut (the leader of the band LemON and Sara’s manager at the same time).

Other ‘Eurovision Artists’ who performed at the festival included Kasia Moś, who represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017; Małgorzata Ostrowska, who took part in the Polish National Selection Poland in 2004, Łukasz Zagrobelny (NS ESC 2004), and, last but not least, Sławek Uniatowski, who participated in the Polish National Selection 2006.

Sopot Festival 2023 was a huge success, with over 100,000 people attending over the four days. The performances were well-received by critics and audiences alike, and the festival helped to showcase the best of Polish music to the world.
