This time I’m going to show you my honest reaction to the song that will represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is “Hallucination” by Sissal who actually is Faroese.

Well, frist things first. It’s dance music.
This year’s Danish entry was chosen both by the public and jury and Sissal won the jury voting and the public ranked her second.
This year’s Danish song was composed by the party of seven (including Sissal) and it’s sung in English.
What’s the song about?
Sissal: “meeting a person where the connection feels so real that it almost seems unreal.”
“Making me question all that I thought true
All that I’m seeing through you
My vision’s blurry, but I can see clearly
Maybe I’m losing control
You’re my hallu-
Hallucination”
Is this going to be a massive hit? Hmm, why not?
All in all, I’d say this is a good song with great vocals.
As each juror ranked all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I assigned points in the same categories (eurovision.tv):
– composition and originality of the song, 9 out of 10;
– quality of the performance on stage, 9 out of 10;
– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;
– overall impression of the act, 9 out of 10.
So the total is: 37 out of 40 points that is 93%.
The question was: “Will Sissal’s “Hallucination” lead her to victory?” To get the best result for Denmark Sissal would have to win the whole Contest (as the best result for Denmark so far was the 1st place; it happened thrice: it was in 1963, 2000 & 2013).
In the end, I can only say: Well done, Sissal! Congratulations, Denmark! I assumed this song would qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depended on the other entries as well. Do you agree, Guys?
What did the bookmakers say about the Danish entry? Well, at that moment (29th April 2025) it was in the 28th place (on eurovisionworld.com).
