This time I’m going to show you my honest reaction to the song that represented Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is “Mila” (in English: “Dear”) by Princ whose real name is Stefan Zdravković.

Well, frist things first.
This year’s Serbian entry was chosen both the public and jury. What’s intriguing Princ didn’t win in any of these categories; the public ranked him third, the jury – second.
This year’s Serbian song was composed Dušan Bačić and it’s sung in Serbian.
What’s the song about?
Princ said that the song represents what he’s going through in his love life right now. According to him, one of the messages is that when you love someone, sometimes you have to accept that you can’t stay together
“Dear
You paid the price of me loving you
Dear
You brought back a life from the edge
There are many reasons for you
To love another
But I care so much to keep you”
All in all, I’d say this is a good song with great vocals.
As each juror is going to rank all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I will assign points in the same categories (eurovision.tv):
– composition and originality of the song, 8 out of 10;
– quality of the performance on stage 10 out of 10;
– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;
– overall impression of the act, 9 out of 10.
So the total is: 37 out of 40 points that is 93%.
Would Princ’s Mila lead him to victory? To do that he would have to win the whole Contest (as the best result for Serbia so far was the 1st place; it happened once: it was in 2007).
In the end, I can only say: Well done, Princ! Congratulations, Serbia! I assumed this song would qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depended on the other entries as well. In the end the semi-final performance wasn’t too good, was it? Do you agree, Guys?
What do the bookmakers said about the Serbian entry? Well, at that moment (9th May 2025) it was in the 29th place (on eurovisionworld.com).
