This time I’m going to show you my honest reaction to the song that will represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is “Survivor” by Parg whose full name is Pargev Vardanian.

Well, frist things first. It’s definitely pop.
This year’s Armenian entry was chosen both the public and jury (national and international). Parg won the public voting and came second in the national and international voting.
This year’s Armenian song was composed by a party of ten including Parg himself and it’s sung in English.
What’s the song about?
“I’m a survivor
Stay aliver
Do or die in my prime
I’m a fighter
I’m a survivor
Won’t be tied up
Break from the pain
Take your place, I’ll remind ya”
All in all, I’d say this is a good song with great vocals.
As each juror ranked all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I assigned points in the same categories (eurovision.tv):
– composition and originality of the song, 9 out of 10;
– quality of the performance on stage, 10 out of 10;
– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;
– overall impression of the act, 9 out of 10.
So the total is: 38 out of 40 points that is 95%.
My question was: “Will Parg’s Survivor lead him to victory?” And my answer was: “We’ll see if he will get the best result for Armenia. To do that he would have to finish at least 3rd the whole Contest (as the best result for Armenia so far was the 4th place; it happened twice: it was in 2008 and 2014).“
In the end, I can only say: Well done, Parg! Congratulations, Armenia! I assumed this song would qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depended on the other entries as well. Do you agree, Guys?
What did the bookmakers say about the Armenian entry? Well, at that moment (9th May 2025) it was in the 33rd place (on eurovisionworld.com).
