Montenegro wins the ESC 2024. True or false? Stay with me to the very end of this article to find out if this is possible.

This time I’m going to show you my honest reaction on the song that will represent Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is “Dobrodošli” (that is “Welcome” in English) by Nina Žižić, who’s already represented her country in the ESC as a band’s member. They didn’t make it to the final finishing 12th in the semi-final.

Well, frist things first.
This Montenegrin entry was chosen both by the public and the jury (it came first in the jury voting and 4th in the public voting). It’s worth mentioning that Nina finished second overall but after the withdrawal of the winners of Montesong Festival she was chosen to represent Montenegro at the ESC 2025 (the reason was the fact that the winning song was presented in 2023 that is against the ESC rules).
This year’s song was created by Boris Subotić, Violeta Mihajlovska Milić. It’s sung in Montenegrin
What’s the song about?
Smile, endure everything, it will pass
Endure everything, it will pass, smile
It will pass, smile, endure everything
It will disappear, it will stop, but when will it?
Is this going to be a massive hit? Hmm, first let’s ask a question: Is it going to make it to the Grand Final?
All in all, I’d say this is a good song with great vocals.
As each juror is going to rank all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I will assign points in the same categories (eurovision.tv):
– composition and originality of the song, 7 out of 10;
– quality of the performance on stage 9 out of 10;
– vocal capacity of the per’former(s), 10 out of 10;
– overall impression of the act, 8 out of 10.
So the total is: 34 out of 40 points that is 85%.
Will Nina’s Welcome lead her to victory? We’ll see if she will get the best result for Montenegro. To do that she would have to finish at least 12th (as the best result for Montenegro so far has been the 13th place; it was in 2015).
In the end, I can only say: Well done, Nina! Congratulations, Montenegro! I assume this song might qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depends on the other entries as well. Do you agree, Guys?
What do the bookmakers say about the Montenegrin entry? Well, at this moment (2nd February 2025) it’s in the last place (on eurovisionworld.com), however, there are still many ESC 2025 songs to be presented.
