Greece wins the ESC 2026. True or false? Stay with me to the very end of this text to find out if this is possible at all. And if you watch the video till the end, youโ€™ll be able to hear my song โ€œIโ€™m Choosing a New Eraโ€ that I submitted to the Polish Preselection for the ESC 2026.

Hello, Guys!

This is your EurovisionaryVoice calling! My nameโ€™s Janusz Jacek Siwiorek JJS. I present my reactions here.

This time Iโ€™m going to show you my most sincere reaction to the song that will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This is โ€œFertoโ€ (that is โ€œBring Itโ€ in English) by Akylas whose full nameโ€™s Akylas Mytilinaios.

Letโ€™s watch the video:

Akylas โ€“ โ€œFertoโ€ (LIVE) โ€“ Greece ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท | Eurovision 2026 | Reaction

Well, first things first.

This Greek entry was chosen both by the public (50%) and the jury (Greek (25%) and international (25%) > it came first both in the jury and public voting (in semi-finals it was only the public who voted).

This yearโ€™s Greek song was created by Akylas, Orfeas Nonis, Theofilos Pouzbouris and Thomas Papathanasis. Itโ€™s sung in Greek.

What genre is that? Pop / Electro-pop with world-music influences.

Whatโ€™s the song about?

โ€œReal estate, bring it

Sashimi tuna, bring it

Gold watch, designer glasses

I am telling you to bring it

Leather coat, bring it

And escargot, bring it

Rally cars, a yacht with stars

I told you, bring it

Bring it to me, bring it to me, bring itโ€

Itโ€™s about ambition, desire and the hunger for more โ€” from luxury and status to personal success. The repeated word โ€œFertoโ€ (Greek for โ€œbring itโ€) drives home the theme of chasing dreams and material goals, while also hinting at deeper messages about overconsumption, ambition born from hardship, and wanting to provide for loved ones.

Akylas is a Greek singer and songwriter.

A fun fact: He did not complete his secondary education and went to Thessaloniki afterward, where, having graduated from a โ€˜culinary school, he worked in restaurants. And heโ€™s is openly queer.

Akylas sings with strong confidence and clear attitude in this song. His voice is powerful and rhythmic, especially in the verses, where he almost mixes singing with speaking. It fits the modern pop style of the track.

In the more emotional parts, his voice becomes softer and more expressive, which adds feeling and depth. He controls his voice well and sounds stable and focused.

Overall, his vocals are confident, modern, and full of personality โ€” a strong performance.

Is this going to be a banger? Hmm, first letโ€™s ask a question: Is this song going to make it to the Grand Final?

All in all, Iโ€™d say this is a very good song with great vocals.

As each juror is going to rank all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I will assign points in the same categories (eurovision.com):

– composition and originality of the song, 9 out of 10;

– quality of the performance on stage, 10 out of 10;

– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;

– overall impression of the act, 9 out of 10.

So the total is: 38 out of 40 points that is 95%.

Will Akylasโ€™s โ€œFertoโ€ lead him to victory? Weโ€™ll see if he will get the best result for Greece. To do that he would have to win the whole Contest (as the best result for Greece so far has been the 1st place; it happened once: it was in 2005).

In the end, I can only say: Well done, Akylas! Congratulations, Greece! I assume this song might qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depends on the other entries as well. What do you think, Guys?

What do the bookmakers say about the Greek entry? Well, at this moment (3rd March 2026) Greece is in 3rd/35 place (eurovisionworld.com).

Letโ€™s hear it for Akylaโ€™s and the whole team!

I also prepared for you a quiz! You can find it below the video. Do you know the answer?
