This time I’m going to show you my most sincere reaction to the song that will represent San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This is “Superstar” by Senhit whose full name’s Senhit Zadik Zadik.

Well, first things first.

The San Marinese entry was chosen by the jury.

This year’s San Marinese song was created by Anderz Wrethov, George Alan O’Dowd (Boy George), Julie Aagaard, John-Emil Johansson, Thomas Stengaard, Senhit Zadik Zadik. It’s sung in English.

What genre is that? Dance-pop / electro-pop (modern Eurovision-style pop banger).

What’s the song about?

“Oh baby, there you are

Girl go and get it like a superstar

Girl go and do it for the broken hearts

‘Cause baby you’re a superstar, superstar”

The song is about confidence, self-expression, and feeling like your best, most powerful self.

The song celebrates stepping into the spotlight and not being afraid to shine. It encourages people to believe in themselves, enjoy the moment, and feel like a “superstar” in their own life -no matter what others think.

Overall, the song is about confidence and shining like a star. It tells you to believe in yourself and enjoy being who you are.

Senhit is an Italian singer who was born in Bologna to Eritrean parents.

A fun fact: Sanhit has already represented San Marino at the ESC twice in 2011 finishing 16^th in the semi-final and in 2021 finishing 22^nd in the final (with the American artist Flo Rida). She was also selected to represent San Marino in 2020 when the Contest was cancelled.

“Superstar” is performed by Senhit herself, with uncredited vocals from George Alan O’Dowd under his stage name Boy George.

🎤 Vocal analysis:

Senhit’s vocals are confident and expressive. She has a strong, clear tone and good control. In the verses, her voice is smooth and slightly playful, while in the chorus she becomes more powerful and energetic. She uses attitude and charisma more than big vocal runs, which fits the dance-pop style very well.

Is this going to be a banger? Hmm, first let’s ask a question: Is this song going to make it to the Grand Final?

All in all, I’d say this is a very good song with great vocals.

As each juror is going to rank all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I will assign points in the same categories (eurovision.com):

– composition and originality of the song, 9 out of 10;

– quality of the performance on stage, 10 out of 10;

– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;

– overall impression of the act, 9 out of 10.

So the total is: 38 out of 40 points that is 95%.

Will Senhit’s “Superstar” lead her to victory? We’ll see if she will get the best result for San Marino. To do that he would have to finish 18th (as the best result for San Marino so far was the 19^th place; it happened once: it was in 2019).

In the end, I can only say: Well done, Senhit! Congratulations, San Marino! I assume this song might qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depends on the other entries as well. What do you think, Guys?

What do the bookmakers say about the San Marinese entry? Well, at this moment (29^th March 2026) San Marino is in 26^th/35 place.
