This time I’m going to show you my most sincere reaction to the song that will represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This is “Mother Nature” by Eva Marija ( whose full name’s Eva Marija Kavaš Puc).

Well, frist things first.

This Luxembourgish entry was chosen both by the public (50%) and the international jury (50%) > it came first both in the jury and public voting.

This year’s Luxembourgish song was created by Eva Marija Kavaš Puc, Julie Aagaard, Maria Broberg and Thomas Stengaard. It’s sung in English.

What’s the song about?

When all was fun and games

Eva MarijaMarija was born and raised in Luxembourg to Slovenian parents. She studied violin, singing, piano and bass guitar, from jazz and classical music to pop and rock genres. In 2026, she is in her final year studying songwriting in London.

Eva Marija delivers Mother Nature with clear, warm vocals that suit the song’s indie-pop, heartfelt vibe. Her voice is steady and pleasant, a warm mid-range that enhances the nostalgic, introspective feel of the lyrics.

her singing is controlled and smooth, blending well with the piano and violin elements fitting the song’s reflective mood.

Her vocals feel authentic and emotive, adding sincerity to the song.

Although some listeners might find the vocal approach a bit gentle and repetitive, meaning it may not stand out among other performances in the contest, I believe that these vocals might work to Eva Marija’s advantage.

Is this going to be a banger? Hmm, first let’s ask a question: Is this song going to make it to the Grand Final?

All in all, I’d say this is a very good song with great vocals.

As each juror is going to rank all the competing songs in each show based on the given criteria, I will assign points in the same categories (eurovision.com):

– composition and originality of the song, 8 out of 10;

– quality of the performance on stage, 10 out of 10;

– vocal capacity of the performer(s), 10 out of 10;

– overall impression of the act, 8 out of 10.

So the total is: 36 out of 40 points that is 90%.

Will Eva Marija’s “Mother Nature” lead her to victory? We’ll see if she will get the best result for Luxembourg. To do that she would have to win the whole Contest (as the best result for Luxembourg so far has been the 1st place; it happened five times: it was in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983).

In the end, I can only say: Well done, Eva Marija! Congratulations, Luxembourg! I assume this song might qualify for the Grand Final but of course it depends on the other entries as well. What do you tink, Guys?

What do the bookmakers say about the Luxembourgish entry? Well, at this moment (25^th January 2026) Malta is in 8^th place (eurovisionworld.com).
