Chanel – “SloMo” – Spain – Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Hey, guys!
This is your EurovisionaryVoice calling!
Today we’re going to listen to the Spanish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, live performance.
This is “SloMo” by Chanel whose full name is Chanel Terrero Martínez who is a Cuban-Spanish singer, dancer and actress. The song is in Spanish and English. What is interesting about the song is the fact that originally this song is said to have been written for Jenifer Lopez who has never responded to the composer´s submission though.
Let’s listen to this composition (https://youtu.be/p9Idozl3Ddw).
Well, at first yes, this song could be one of Jennifer´s songs.
Chanel´s performance seems to be perfectly prepared with great attention to detail.
Yes, definitely Chanel can dance as she’s a dancer. I don’t know if Jennifer Lopez could do that better. Chanel is so stretched.
She’s done the splits in such a difficult position. Wow!!!
So much energy! And she knows what to do on stage. Seems so charismatic.
The beginning of the chorus reminds me of this tune “I like to move it” – this chorus part.
The whole staging is  just professional. And the dancers make a difference.
I enjoy the vocal part. I do like Chanel’s voice.
And she seems to be very confident on stage that is so important in live performances.
The whole staging is just creating a nice picture.  Lighting is a great plus as well.
I love her energy!
Well, Well …  the jury and the public will decide. The bookmakers (eurovisionworld.com) place the song in the  8th place.
We’ll see if Chanel will get the best result of Spain that is of course the first place.
Can this be a winning song? Well, to be honest I’m not sure, but you never know.
My indicator of whether I like or not the song apart from goose pimples is just the willingness to listen to that once again. And in this case I’m willing to do so, but I haven’t diagnosed any goose pimples…?
Good luck, Spain! Best of luck, Chanel!
¡Buena suerte!
